I’ve been asked to write a regular monthly astrology article for a friend who produces a monthly newsletter in Spain. I thought that it may be useful to publish it here too.

December 2006

Astrologically, this month sees a huge amount of planetary activity taking place in the sign of Sagittarius, with no fewer than five planets all piling in. The beginning of the month sees the Sun, Jupiter and Pluto in Sagittarius, followed by Mars and Mercury on the 6th and 8th. Also in December, is a Full moon in Gemini which will form (among others) an aspect that exactly opposes the Sun in Sagittarius.

So what does all this mean for you?

The full moon in Gemini on the 4-5th December is asking you to make serious and permanent changes at this time in order to begin to realise your long held dreams. First though, its time for you to transform those aspects of your life that you’ve been putting off now for so long. The truth that you have always instinctively felt comes to the fore now.

The choice is yours of course, but be prepared to deal with the consequences as you begin to understand those aspects of your life where you may have been misled or mistaken. You are being influenced to let go of the negative thoughts of the past and be bold going forward to expand your horizons. However make sure that you retain a degree of realism and practicality too in achieving those dreams, or else you may get burnt.

Now is a good time for those literary artists among you to start writing or publishing that book that you’ve been putting off.

Over the Christmas and New Year period, expect there to be growing optimism for 2007 as you begin to feel a new phase of your life is taking place. However, do watch for too much over-indulgence and make sure you only spend within your means. On Christmas Day itself, just be aware that a conjunction between Mercury and Pluto means that you need to be careful and think before you speak – particularly around loved ones and close family, or you may find that you say something  a little too cutting!

During December, expect to see even more emphasis in the world between different philosophies and religions. Our world leaders are being urged to move towards a greater spiritual understanding of truth rather than following their thinking of the past.

This will therefore be a pivotal time for humanity – where we will be given the opportunity to make a revolutionary leap of faith into a deeper spiritual understanding, knowledge and awareness.

Major world events that take place at this time will provide opportunity to re-think old philosophical ideologies and even start to work in harmony for the greater good. However, will our world leaders take the plunge? Only time will tell.
